What is Select and Collect?

Select and Collect is an easy way to borrow books without needing to browse the shelves. It is especially helpful during times when library access is limited, such as building work or restricted areas, but you can use it anytime.

Just tell us the type of books you enjoy – for example crime, romance, history, cookery, children’s picture books, or a general theme. Our team will choose a small set of books for you based on your preferences.

 

Select and Collect is ideal if:

• you find browsing difficult or time consuming
• you have a visual impairment
• you prefer a curated or surprise selection
• you simply want something new without searching the catalogue

 

How it works

1. Tell us the genre or subject you want.
2. We pick a small bundle of books for you.
3. We let you know when your bundle is ready to collect.
4. You can adjust your preferences next time.
