Join us for a special Meet the Author event with Jennifer Bibby at Stopsley Library. The local author will be sharing excerpts from her new novel Christmas at the Little Cornish Bakery. Discover the inspiration behind Jennifer’s cozy Cornish stories, set in the charming fictional village of Polcarrow. Books will be available to purchase on the day at the special price of £7.99, and Jennifer will be signing copies—perfect for a personalised gift or a seasonal treat for yourself! Jennifer Bibby is a Luton based author specialising in romantic fiction. She is a lifelong lover of stories and passionate about books and libraries. Her debut novel The Cornish Hideaway was set in the fictional village of Polcarrow, where we return for Christmas at the Little Cornish Bakery. Jennifer also works at, and was a graduate of, the University of Bedfordshire.

Luton-born author Camilla Balshaw's debut memoir, NAMED: A Story of Names and Reclaiming Who We Are, traces her reckoning with her own name and the estranged father who gave it to her. From the bureaucratic power of labels to the quiet rebellions of renaming, NAMED is a story about belonging, family, and why some names stick and others shatter. The author's narrative about her estrangement from her Nigerian father, her grapples with her Jamaican mother, and her journey towards identity is woven through the chapters, making it an engaging and intimate investigation of what makes us who we are. Camilla will be discussing Named and exploring the themes it raises, as well as reading selected excerpts from the book.Attendees will also have the opportunity to purchase a signed copy. The event will be held in the 3rd Floor Conference Rooms.
