As part of our National Year of Reading celebrations, Luton Libraries is launching a brand-new monthly podcast, Not So Quiet on the Library Front, on 1 June. No Booking Required: listen on YouTube at: https://www.youtube.com/@lutonlibrariespodcast In Chapter 2 of Not So Quiet on the Library Front, Jess and Vicky return with more bookish banter, a surprisingly deep discussion about shelf spacing, and a thriller set in a library that left them questioning everyone at the reference desk. There's customer care psychology, book sketch challenge disasters, medieval fashion advice nobody asked for, and a fascinating chat with Luton Libraries' Joint Head of Service, Sarah Barry. Add in runaway Christmas tree mice, bacon used as a bookmark, and a passionate defence of bent book spines, and you've got an episode that's anything but quiet.
